Our Dessert Table

To the left was our dessert menu which read:
Because I have zero patience, I decided to post this earlier than planned because I was so happy with the end result. My sweet neighbor, Teresa worked so hard to put this beautiful table together. Not only was it gorgeous but every treat was simply amazing and delicious. Thank you so much, Teresa!

Easy DIY

How amazing are these baskets?

Not so amazing is the $90.00 price tags for these beauties! So I thought there has to be an easier way to accomplish this look. I started by picking up a simple jute basket at Target for only $14.95. From there I used painters tape and sectioned off which area I wanted to dip spray paint ( I had a can of cream spray paint leftover from the wedding). My biggest mistake was not covering the whole area up top and some residue sprayed through the basket material. I thought about trying to edit the end photo but then realized that the joys of DIY projects are the imperfections and learning what NOT to do along the way. Anyways, I am pleased with the end results and my wallet it happy as well!

Maui

Dustin and I had a wonderful time in Maui! Here are a few highlights from our trip, is it time to go back yet?

1) Sunrise Snorkel Cruise to Molokin- We saw dolphins, sea turtles and a huge eel! Our crew served us breakfast, coffee and endless entertainment. The water was crystal blue and what Dustin describes as, "swimming in the dentist's fish tank!" If you go to Maui, I would highly recommend them!

2) Monkey Pod Kitchen - We came here our first night for dinner and oh my was it amazing! This place makes everything in their kitchen, including all breads and condiments! Their prices were very reasonable, the fish melted in your mouth and everything is so fresh, they don't even have a freezer in their kitchen.

3) Gazebo - This breakfast spot was recommended to us by several people. We waited in line for a while but their fried rice, eggs Benedict and ocean views quickly made us forget about the time we waited in line. I also loved their service because everyone was so laid back, attentive and very nice!

4) Old Lahina Luau - We were treated to front row seats at the Old Lahina Luau (thank you GN + Karen!) We enjoyed the company of two fellow honeymooners from Manchester and the CEO of Interstate Battery. Their food was amazing, drinks were endless and the performance was awesome!

5) Surprise dinner with Jeff + Debbie - My Aunt and Uncle completely surprised us when they arranged for "a driver" to pick us up to take us to dinner. These two are so fun to be around and they know how to have a good time. We had the most amazing dinner (+drinks!) at Ko located at The Fairmont Hotel.

6) Lots of pool time and relaxation! Need I say more? There is nothing better than laying out by the pool with margarita in hand :).
